You come to the first session prepared to stop smoking immediately… As you may have found out, cutting down or cutting back does not usually lead to success, because whenever you have even one cigarette you are reinforcing the habit (in the neural pathways of your brain) which makes it even harder to stop. People who try to cut down usually find that, pver time, they end up smoking just as many, or even more than they did previously! You bring along your cigarettes and lighter… to the session. Make sure you do not have any spare ones tucked away somewhere, “just in case”. If you do, then you need to re-consider your commitment to stop. Your smoking triggers… You fill out a questionnaire which helps Roger pinpoint your smoking triggers. He then uses this information to personalise the session for you, and so it is much more likely to be successful than a group programme. That is why he usually works with one person at a time. However, occasionally, for two people living or working together, he will see them to together. The hypnotherapy session… is a very pleasant and relaxing experience. It will focus on your desire to stop smoking, the benefits of being smoke free, and your main smoking triggers and why you no longer need them. Positive and appropriate suggestions given (while in hypnosis) are much more likely to be accepted by your sub-conscious mind. FREE Back-Up CD… You will receive a free back-up support CD. This is a mini hypnosis session, so do not listen to it when driving a motor vehicle Please listen to this at least once EVERY DAY, and more if you need to. After the session… You listen to the CD each day, and enjoy being smoke free for what may be the first time in many years. Roger books a follow-up support session for you, usually within 7-10 days. Attending that second session enables Roger to check out how you have been going since he last saw you, and either give you another personal re-inforcement or make any adjustments to your treatment as required.
